Aesthetics and functionality as the foundation of harmonious living

The Association for Real Estate Market Development (ARTN) is launching another edition of the prestigious Best of Realty competition, which has been recognizing the highest-quality real estate development projects in the Czech Republic for nearly three decades. Submissions for this year’s 28th edition are now open on the website www.bestofrealty.cz. LEXXUS NORTON is once again a proud partner of this major event.

The overall winner of the 11th annual Interior of the Year 2025 awards—of which LEXXUS NORTON is a partner—was the exceptional renovation of the “Mezonet na šestce” by architects Michal Škrna, Tereza Tejkalová, and Tomáš Pavlakovič. The winner of the Public Vote category is, for example, “Statek pro Martinu” (A Farmhouse for Martina), which is already quite well-known in the media as a brilliant investment project by singer Martina Pártlová. Journalists, in turn, were captivated by the creatively renovated Prague prefab apartment building, and in one of the other categories, the VIA Elementary and Preschool in Beroun took first place. The results were announced on May 19, 2026, at the DOX Center for Contemporary Art in Prague. The winners received a porcelain Stella statuette.

The Prague real estate market has reached an important milestone. The Timber Praha project, the capital’s first multi-story residential building constructed of wood, has found an owner for its last available apartment. This confirms a clear trend: demand for innovative and sustainable housing in the premium segment is rising sharply. The project offered a total of 62 apartments ranging from 1+kk to 4+kk layouts, each with a front garden or terrace. Sales began in the spring of 2023 and lasted just over three years.

The family houses in the Bydlení Kbeličky project are now completely sold out. The Bydlení Kbeličky residential project by developer IMMO Building in Prague 9 has attracted attention from the very beginning thanks to its combination of modern architecture, a peaceful setting, and excellent access to downtown Prague.

As has become tradition, LEXXUS NORTON is serving as a media partner for the Interior of the Year competition this year, which is entering its second decade with a significant change to the award itself. The award was designed by Doc. MgA. Antonín Tomášek, who created an object made of porcelain—a material that symbolically marks the start of the project’s second decade.

The deadline for submissions to the prestigious “Interior of the Year 2025” competition is fast approaching (February 28, 2026), making this the perfect time to reflect on the opportunity this competition offers to architects, designers, and investors of exceptional projects.

Each year, a different designer creates the design for the Interior of the Year award. Following in the footsteps of past designers—including Rony Plesl, Václav Mlynář, Jakub Pollág, Kateřina Handlová, Studio Dechem, and Boris Klimek—young designers Karolína Kučerová and Ivo Jedlička took on this task for the eleventh edition. For the first time, the award will not be made of glass but of porcelain. It will be produced by the renowned porcelain manufacturer Thun.

The exceptional new building, Dom Oskar in Kamenná Lhota, was named the overall winner of the 10th anniversary edition of the Interior of the Year 2024 awards. It was designed by MgA. Jan Žaloudek. Finalists included, for example, the ČTK Press Center, and among the winners were a combined kindergarten and senior living facility, as well as an interestingly renovated prefabricated apartment building. The results were announced on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the DOX Center for Contemporary Art in Prague.
