The overall winner of the ninth annual Interior of the Year 2023 awards was an exceptional renovation project titled “A New Identity for a House in Kutná Hora.” The architects are Jan Holub and Tomáš Hanus from the BYRÓ ARCHITEKTI studio. The results were announced on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the DOX Center for Contemporary Art in Prague.

The winner of the award for the ninth edition of ‘Interior of the Year’ is Kateřina Handlová, artistic director at Rückl Glassworks and in-house designer at Bomma Glassworks. She draws inspiration from fashion in her work and seeks to incorporate its elements into product design. She draws on subcultures and admires successful women – a group to which she herself now belongs.

In its ninth year, the Interior of the Year awards were expanded to include a ninth competition category entitled the FOREIGN MEDIA AWARD. The organiser, the Institute of Interior Design in Prague, has established close cooperation with a number of magazines from countries such as Italy, Sweden, Denmark and Spain.
