The now well-known and established café Kavárna co hledá jméno offers a beautiful space in a former cabinetmaker’s workshop, a pleasant atmosphere, a peaceful outdoor garden, and—most importantly—excellent specialty coffee and divine breakfasts. We especially recommend the Eggs Benedict soufflé. By the way, keep this place in mind if your company is thinking about where to hold a workshop or an unconventional event. A Paradise for Street Food Lovers
A wide variety of great restaurants, bistros, and bars have found a home under one roof—and partly outdoors—at Manifesto Market in Anděl. No matter what you’re in the mood for, you’re sure to satisfy your cravings at this amazing food hub. But besides the food, you’ll also enjoy themed and cultural evenings that make this market a very pleasant place for fun, relaxation, and socializing—and not just in the summer. They offer wines from all corners of Europe and the world; you can arrange a tasting (even an informal one) or try your hand at sabrage. And feel free to come even with someone who isn’t really into wine. They’ll be happy to mix you a drink here, too. A refreshing specialty is, for example, peach gin with pink tonic. You simply won’t find a better wine bar in Anděl.

Do you love watching chefs at work, observing the hustle and bustle of a professional kitchen while sampling fantastic food? Try Taro, where you’ll be served Asian fine dining in a modern and pleasantly casual setting. The cuisine is primarily Vietnamese, and dinners are served as tasting menus. Since it’s a tiny restaurant, don’t forget that the first seating starts at 5:30 p.m., followed by the second at 8:30 p.m. You can also look forward to a surprise—you never know in advance what courses await you during the tasting dinner. On the other hand, thanks to the open kitchen concept, you can always keep a close eye on what’s being prepared for you.

And we have one more tip for you on where to find pastries that are always fresh, fragrant, and incredibly delicious. At the artisan bakery Tady a teď, be sure to try the local “loupák” or the amazing “kobliha,” pick up some bread or a baguette, and if you’re passing by on your way to work, definitely stop in for a sandwich or a stuffed roll for a snack. They’ll also be happy to make you a coffee to go. You’re sure to love the cakes and buns, which taste just like they were made by the most talented mom.
